FLS: French school curriculum, 1 on 1
FLS is French as a school language: the official curriculum, the subjects of the year, the oral that is coming. History, maths, SES, SVT, français, law. We sit alongside school — we do not replace it with a conversation hour that ignores the programme. This is not a playgroup. The student needs to be able to do a 50-minute video call.
FLS is for you if
You are booking for a student in the French system — in France or in a French school abroad — and the year is moving faster than they are.
- Homework, orals, and subjects taught in French, not “fun conversation”
- Collège, lycée, or a French programme that follows the official year
- A parent who wants a plan they can see, and a student who will still be on the call
What an FLS lesson looks like
We start from what school is doing this week, then we make the student speak it. Corrections are clear. The intro includes a parent. Weekly lessons are the student’s.
- The year’s subjects, not a generic “teen French” booklet
- Orals practised out loud, not only written exercises
- English used when it unblocks — French as the goal
Pick a different program if
