FLI: French for everyday and professional life
FLI is French for integration and real life: the appointment, the meeting, the neighbour, the email you have to send on Thursday. It is practical without being a phrase list. You do not wait until B2 to live. You learn the French of the week you are actually in — including legal or high-level work when that is the job.
FLI is for you if
French just became part of the day: a job, a move, a partner’s family, paperwork. You need to function, not complete a textbook.
- Work: meetings, interviews, emails, the small talk before the meeting
- Life: préfecture, school gate, doctor, landlord, the conversation after “bonjour”
- You already know some French and still freeze when it counts
What an FLI lesson looks like
Bring the situation. We play it, we fix the line, you say it again. Grammar only when it stops the sentence. Professional French without sounding like a manual.
- Your week’s documents and conversations, not a unit called “at the office”
- Register: polite vous at work, something closer with people you know
- Legal or literary French when that is genuinely the task
