Expat French is not a holiday phrasebook and it is not waiting until B2 to live. It is the préfecture, the doctor, the landlord, the parent at the gate, the email you have to send on Thursday. You learn the week you are actually in.

The week, not the level
Bring the letter, the appointment, the thing the neighbour said too fast. We play it, we fix the line, you say it again. Grammar only when it stops the sentence. A long A1–C2 path exists — FLE — if that is what you want. FLI is the life in front of you.
Admin is a language
Forms, phone trees, “vous avez un dossier.” We practise asking people to slow down, to write it, to repeat the reference. We are not your lawyer and not your préfecture. We are the hour that makes the next call survivable.
Family and work in the same life
School gate and a job can share a week. Say which one is on fire. Kids in a French school belong on FLS. A scored interview belongs on its own page. Travel before you move is still travel — useful, but a different drill from living there.
