How long does it take to learn French fluently?
Fluent is a feeling: you stop translating, you finish the thought, you can be wrong and recover. That is not a 30-day challenge. It is a speaking habit.

Define fluent before you count months
Café fluent is not meeting fluent. DELF B2 speaking is a useful public bar: you can argue, narrate, and handle the unexpected. Many adults mean B1 when they say fluent — they want to live without English. Say which one you mean.
Typical ranges
From zero to that B2-ish bar, most English-speaking adults need well over a year of regular speaking — often two — unless they immerse. From “I can read but not speak,” the calendar is shorter, because the map is there. The work is production.
Weekly 1 on 1 plus short spoken homework is the pace that actually happens. Daily immersion is faster and rare.
What does not produce fluency
Streaks. Grammar marathons. Waiting until you are “ready.” Fluency is a pile of recovered moments. A tutor is there when you would otherwise switch to English.
