School leftover

When school French never worked — start again without the shame

A lot of adults who “did French at school” did not fail the language. They survived a method: copy, test, move on. The class left. The freeze stayed. Support is how we teach when that history is still in the room — without pretending a new app will undo it.

This is your page if

You still want French, and the old classroom still makes your shoulders go up.

  • Years of school, almost no speaking you would repeat in public
  • You feel slow, stupid, or “too late,” and you are tired of that story
  • You need English in the lesson without being treated like a child

A lesson after school French failed

We find one thing that already works — a story, a pattern, a sentence you can finish — and we build the hour around that. Less photocopy.

  • Your pace, including if we slow the whole path down
  • Corrections that explain, then let you try again
  • Homework short enough to happen

What school usually trained

Recognition, not production. Gender on a page, silence in the room. A timetable someone else wrote. If that was you, more of the same — a louder worksheet, a faster group — will feel like the original injury. We change the hour: you speak, we wait, you retry.

We do not need the whole file

A few sentences on the intro is enough: what failed, what you need French for now, what a good hour would feel like. We do not need your old marks. We will not diagnose you from a blog. We will design the next 50 minutes.

Content can still be FLE, FLS, or life

Support is not a fifth syllabus. If a teenager needs the official year, that is FLS taught gently. If you want a CEFR climb, that is FLE at your pace. If this week’s appointment is the fire, that is FLI. The label is honest; the method is Support.
